A Room in Venice

Top floor under the eaves of the roof. Not as glamorous as the great arched windows which overlook the grand canal but any room in Venice, albeit for a limited period of time, has its own magic for an aspiring writer. The start of a new novel, an inspiring short story or just a piece of flash fiction. Who knows what might emerge from this view of the water, the gondolas and the tourists. But who has time to waste writing with the whole of Venice to experience. Certainly not I. Writing can wait for another day.
